The Spiritual Web
Churches of Atlantic Canada. May I have your attention please? It’s time for a change.
It is unfortunate but true. Most of your web sites have been found lacking. You may be wondering who has been playing judge? We’ll as it turns out, most ministers I speak to are ashamed of their church’s web site. Many congregation members too. I agree, we all agree, something needs to be done. We have judged.
There are no longer any excuses. In 2008, when people go to find a church in their neighbourhood, most start by looking on the web first. Can they find your site? If someone were to type into Google “churches in Halifax” or “churches in Moncton”, would they find you? If they did, what would be their instant reaction? Malcolm Gladwell recently wrote a book entitled Blink. His basic premise is that most people make split second judgments and decisions when they see or encounter something for the first time. What judgment will someone make about your web site or about your congregation in the first 5 seconds of encountering your ministry online? If you were to see your site through the eyes of a first-time visitor how would you feel? What impression would you have?
There is hope! Something can be done. You really need to represent your organization with a higher level of professionalism and with a greater degree of confidence. Mediocrity is no longer acceptable. E-marketing resources for all churches are much more accessible now than they have ever been. There are affordable web solutions for any sized church here in Atlantic Canada.
As Christians, we have the best message on the planet to communicate. The best message to market. Unfortunately, my experience is that we are some of the worst communicators and worst marketers I have ever met. There are marketing companies (including Marketing Integrity) that will help make your job easier and help your ministry manage the makeover process of your website and your ministry branding. I genuinely have a heart to help ministries communicate in the best way possible keeping tight budget constraints in mind. I want to see you thrive and succeed. Please don’t wait any longer, there is a lot riding on how you communicate with your community. The process of church marketing may seem scary but the stress can be limited. It is time for a change and you are only a click away! Ask for a free consultation and quote without obligation, most companies will be happy to sit down with you and talk through the process that is best for your organization. What do you have to lose? Your community will thank you for it and your pastor can finally be proud to give out his web address!
